{ ♌ } —— The lion appeared in front of the spirit mage, a smile on his face as he stared into her eyes. To him it looked like she needed a hug, and really any excuse to hug Lucy is perfect. So before she could question his reasoning for opening his own gate and appearing before her, he brought her in a big hug. Ah, he loved this feeling of hugging the blonde, “You seemed like you needed a hug, princess. So like the prince I am, I arrived without a moment notice to give you a well deserved hug.”
“—-I wasn’t rejecting you because I was gay! Oh my god, Loke! And we can’t just get up and raise a cub—-you know that! They’re spreading rumors about me! Rumors! I’m not gay! Oh my god—-!”
{ ♌ } —— "It is okay, Lucy. I completely understand now, you don’t need to lie to me anymore. – Are you positive? Because it sounds like you are trying to convince yourself of that, princess. Besides there isn’t anything wrong with being gay, I am sure you will end up with a beautiful woman.”
“…but you shouldn’t have to wait…” Because it was obvious that he was capable of obtaining almost any girl he wanted. It was a sad thought, that Loke would honestly wait for her to come around. And what if she never did come around? It sounded to be a sad existence but…at the same time Lucy was never quite sure how serious he just was about his propositions. “I mean, isn’t there someone you honestly like? You don’t…have to say anything if you don’t want to.”
The smallest of sighs left her before a fond smile reached her lips. She was thinking too hard about this stuff, wasn’t she? No need to get so worked up over something that could have been a joke or mere speculation. “Lunch sounds really good right now! I know a really nice sandwich shop around here—bet you’ve been there a few times, hm?” At the wink the female snorted, quickly waving him off. “I don’t need a knight! We’re equals, remember?”
{ ♌ } —— He didn’t see what was wrong with waiting for someone that you considered special to you. If it was someone truly worth waiting for, then there shouldn’t be anything wrong with it. Now that was a question he wasn’t expecting to hear from the celestial mage, there could be someone he truly liked, of course with the flirtatious lion it could be hard to tell, “Hmm, I don’t know, what do you think, Lucy?” Another wink was sent the mage’s way, he would leave his answer at this.
He nodded, yeah he had heard of the sandwich shop and had always wanted to try it but honestly got a chance to. “I have seen it around before, and I have thought about going in, but I have never actually eaten there.” The male laughed as she waved him off, equals yes, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t want to protect her, “Yeah that is true, but I enjoy being your knight, princess~”
“Details that are important, Loke! You can’t ignore them just because you think they’re not our problem!” Lucy was positive that there was no way she could handle an actual full grown lion all by herself. She could hardly handle Loke as it was and he was a spirit! She half hoped that her partner was joking but the way he kept going on about it made her think otherwise. She couldn’t waiver here. She had to be firm. She had to put her foot down! Otherwise he’d never let this go! “We can’t, Loke! You know we can’t. It’ll be fun when it’s tiny but what happens when he’s bigger? He’ll—-He’ll try eating us or something! Isn’t Happy enough? We could dress him up as a lion…”
{ ♌ } —— Aw man she was not letting up on this, he hoped he would get her to give in they tell her he was just joking with the blonde. Well he should have known that Lucy would need to have this clearly thought out before going through with it. He couldn’t help but chuckle at the girl, she had already made it clear she was not going to let him get the lion, "Okay, okay, I got it Lucy. We won’t get a lion, I was joking anyway, princess~” Happy? He could see the little blue cat with a mane around his head, a bright smile adorned the celestial spirit’s face, “Well if Happy is up to wearing the mane for a long time I don’t see the problem with that.”
The offer was cute but there was no way that they could look after lions. “—but, where are we going to keep them? You know my land lady doesn’t allow pets, right? I mean she throws a fit whenever she finds out Happy’s been over—” Or anyone for that matter since everything has a tendency of getting destroyed when her friends are over. “—first—-no! Loke, really—I don’t think this is a good idea. Please?”
{ ♌ } —— Those were valid questions to which he had no clear answer to. He could probably sneakily keep them at Lucy’s house till it grows older and gets to big to hid, but then would could he do? The lion would need a large yard to roam and stretch, well details could be thought out later, “Details, details, Lucy~” A sigh escaped his lips, Lucy was totally ruining his fun, he totally hoped she would just agree and then jump into his arms and they go buy one right away, well he was extremely wrong, “Come on, Lucy. You won’t regret it, it is going to be fun and they are going to be extremely cute."
Lucy sighed though she couldn’t help be amused. “You better have been.” She wouldn’t know what to do otherwise. Probably let him down gently? Though she wasn’t going to be so conceited as to think that Loke was honestly in love with her. The idea itself would be rather…preposterous, wouldn’t it? The girl giggled—sometimes the things that Loke said sounded as if they had come right out books. That didn’t make them any less flattering though Lucy would still acquire some sort of glee from them. “Who knows if I’ll ever be ready though and I’m not sure if you could wait that long, Loke.” The words were said rather flippantly with a shrug of her shoulders.
“Me? And number one? I couldn’t be.” Loke was a pretty popular guy, wasn’t he? Kind of surprising that no crazed fangirl had targeted the mage yet. She should really be counting her blessings instead of questioning everything. “…but thanks.”
{ ♌ } —— The mage chuckled, he was sure that one day her heart would be ready to accept someone’s else love for her. Of course even if it wasn’t his love it accepted, he was still positive she would accept someone’s, one day. Also he found her underestimating his ability to wait for her rather amusing, he could definitely wait for her. Although this didn’t mean he wouldn’t date while he waited for her to come around. “You never know, princess, I could surprise you with how long I could wait for it to happen.”
{ ♌ } —— He wasn’t sure why she was confused about being number one, she was his master as well as the person who saved his life. That is something he will never forget and will always treasure. “Of course you are, Lucy.” His lips tugged into a large smile at the blonde mage’s thanks, “You are welcome, princess." Well the lion thinks it is time to for the friendly date between the two, "Well how about that lunch, Lucy? You still need to pick a place to eat at so your knight can escort you there~” Flashing the blonde a toothy smile as well as a wink of his eye.
“…mm, I think it’s because he’s the indecisive type…can’t really settle on what he wants—-I guess current nakama trumps what you had in the past, huh?”
{ ♌ } —— “Yeah I can agree with him being the indecisive type, but I get it now, it is Natsu who he is gay for. –But man I hope he let Lyon down easy.”
“Older brother, huh? I don’t think siblings matter much to predators, Loke. I could be wrong though…but that’s beside the point! You do realize we can’t just run around adopting dangerous animals, right? I get that they’re cute right now…but just imagine when they get bigger…and it’s not like raising a child at all!"
{ ♌ } —— "Of course family matters to lions, Lucy. But I already told you Lucy, they wouldn’t be dangerous. I’d train them and they would listen to me. – I think it exactly like raising a child, and it would be our first child, Lucy~”
“You’re a spirit, y’know? I don’t think actual lions would really be willing to listen…and there’s the fact that humans wouldn’t believe you either! A lion’s just out of the question.”
{ ♌ } —— “What are you talking about, Lucy? I am sure the lions would completely understand me and listen, I am basically like their older brother. Aw, come on, Lucy, I think it will be fun. – Also it will be like we were raising a child together~”
